高金萍
Prof. Gao Jinping is Dean at the International Institute of Chinese Studies (IICS) and Director of Center for Marxist Journalism Studies(CMJS) at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Her major is Global Communication, Journalism with Chinese Characteristics, and Comparative Journalism.
She is the chief expert of the major bidding project of the National Social Science Fund, a "New Century Excellent Talent" honored by the Ministry of Education.
She is also an expert in new media reviews for the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and an expert in ideological and political reviews of new media for the Ministry of Education.
She earned her Master's degree in Literature from the School of Literature, Northwest University, and her Ph.D. in Literature (Journalism) from the School of Journalism, Renmin University of China. Furthermore, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the first cohort of the Postdoctoral Program in Journalism and Communication at Communication University of China. She has also served as a visiting scholar at the School of Communication, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Department of Media and Communication, City University of Hong Kong.

Guan Yongqian is Deputy Dean and Associate Professor at the International Institute of Chinese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University. He received his Ph.D. from Beijing Normal University in 2009. His research interests include the history of Western sinology and Chinese studies, the history of cultural exchanges between China and the West, and the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture. He is the author of Research on Contemporary Western Chinese Studies (Xueyuan Publishing, 2020), co-editor of A Review of the Study on Chinese Culture Going Global (Peking University Press, 2016), and has published more than 70 academic articles.

Prof.ZHANG Xiping, doctoral supervisor, Chief Scholar and Dean of International Chinese Culture Studies Collaborative Innovation Center, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Also honor Director at the International Institute of Chinese Studies BFSU, and chief editor of International Sinology. As vice-chairman of the International Confucian Association, Chairman of Chinese Educational History in the World, Chairman of International Association of Chinese Culture Studies, Board member to Chinese Religious Studies Association and Comparative Studies Association, Prof.ZHANG is grant the Speicial Expat by the State Council of PRC.
Porf. ZHANG specializes in the field of studies on philosophy, Sino-Western cultural history between 1500-1800, history of Sinology and history of Christianity in China. In recent year, more focus has been given to the early sinology in Europe, and the history of introduction of Chinese cultures to Europe. Now he is undertaking a key research project on “Chinese Catholic Documents at Vatican Library” sponsored by the National Social Science Foundation, and a key project on “Chinese Ancient Cultures in the Europe” sponsored by the Ministry of Education.
Porf.Zhang’s publication includes 11 monographs and more than a hundred academic papers in the core academic journals.

GU Jun is professor of comparative literature and cross-cultural studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He received his Ph. D. from Peking University in 2001. His research interests include history of missionary sinology and comparative literature. He is the author ofS. W. Williams and Early American Sinology(Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, 2009);Lu Xun as a Translator of Foreign Literature(Fujian Education Press, 2009); and about 60 articles.

黄丽娟
Huang Lijuan is a professor of English and Comparative Literature. She got her MA in 2003 from Sichuan International Studies University, PhD in 2011 from Beijing Foreign Studies University, Postdoc from 2012 to 2015 in Research Institute of Overseas Sinology (with its current name as International Institute of Chinese Culture) in BFSU. She had been a visiting scholar in the English Department of UC Berkeley of the US from 2009—2010, and awarded as Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Comparative Literature of Yale University from 2018—2019. Her research interest includes Western Critical Theory, Women Literature, Transcultural Writings and History of China and the West, etc. Her representative work，Narratives of China: A Transcultural Study of British Travel Literature in 20th Century (2012) is a pioneering one that has initiated a multidisciplinary comparative study of travel literature in China.

杨慧玲
Dr.YANG Huiling Researcher, Beijing Foreign Studies University
As a full-time researcher in National Research Center of Overseas Sinology, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), Dr. YANG is engaging on interdisciplinary studies with the emphasis on history of bilingual Chinese dictionaries, Chinese learning during 16th to 19th century, and history of Christianity in China. She examines the language learning strategies and cross-cultural experiences of Christian missionaries in context of history of Christianity in China dropean countries. Her recent book received Excellence Academic Award Beijing in 2011 and National Nomination Award of Best 100 Dissertations in China in 2012.

Ms. Lizhen, Professor and master’s thesis advisor at International Institute of Chinese Studies of Beijing Foreign Studies University, with a Ph.D. in comparative literature and cross-cultural studies. The Secretary and board member of the Association for the World History of Chinese Language Education, a board member of the Chinese Society for Comparative Literature’s Overseas Sinology Research Branch, and a researcher at the Beijing Research Center for Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchanges. Also serving as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of A History of International Chinese Language Education Research (a collection of papers). The main research areas are the history of Sino-Western cultural exchanges during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the history of Chinese language education worldwide, and overseas Sinology. Published monographs include Westerners' Research on the Chinese Language during the Ming and Qing Dynastic Interactions: History, Documents, and Case Studies (2025) and Research on Joseph de Prémare’s Notitia Linguae Sinicae (2014). Compiled works include A Chronology of the Dissemination of Ancient Chinese Cultural Classics in Britain in the 20th Century (2017) and A Bibliography of Early Western Chinese Linguistic Research (2021, second author). Translations include A History of Western Sinology — Sinological Pioneers and the Development of Classical Philology (2024, chief translator) and Research on Joseph de Prémare, a Qing Dynasty Missionary to China (2009, chief translator).

Michele Ferrero, Italy, 1967. Since 2009 Professor of Latin and Western Classics at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He authored various books and articles on China, Sinology, Latin and Christian ethics.
Michele Ferrero was born in Italy in 1967. He holds a doctoral degree in Theology from Taipei Fujen Univ. and a degree in Classics ("Laurea in Lettere Classiche") from the State University of Torino (Italy). He has worked in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Turin (Italy) and Jerusalem (Israel).
Since 2009 teaching Latin and Western Classics at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He works as Foreign Expert in the International Institute of Chinese Studies (former “Sinology Centre”) of BFSU. In 2012 he established “Latinitas Sinica”, a centre for the promotion of Latin
In China he held Latin classes also at Beijing University, Capital Normal Univ., the Chinese Academy of Social Science; the National Chinese Catholic Seminary; the Xiangbo Education Institute, the Italian Embassy School of Latin for Italian students, He is an invited teacher at the Faculty of Classics (Institutum Altioris Latinitatis) of the Salesian University in Rome.
He wrote books and articles about China, about Latin and about ethics. In June 2011 he promoted the first conference on “The teaching of Latin language in Chinese universities” at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
郭景红
Guo Jinghong, associate professor of BFSU. She was a PhD graduate from Beijing Normal University.
Research interests include Russian Sinology, Sino-Russian Comparative Literature. The ongoing research topics are: “The Dynamic Investigation and Analysis of Contemporary Russian Literature Research - A Case Study of the International Academic Seminar on Far Eastern Literary Studies”, “National Language and Culture Studies along the Belt and Road”, “ Chinese culture in Russia “, etc.
罗莹
Luo Ying, born in 1982. She holds a Bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature, a Master's degree in World Literature and Comparative Literature, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Cross-Cultural Studies from Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is currently Associate Researcher and master's degree supervisor at the International Institute of Chinese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University. From June to September 2013, she was invited as Visiting Research Fellow to conduct personal research at Internationales Kolleg für Geisteswissenschaftliche Forschung, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. She has also pursued advanced studies at the Department of Classical Languages and Literatures at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome, the Sinology Department at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, and the Chong Chi Theological College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

杨宾
Yang Bin, an assistant researcher at IICS, is a member of the Beijing Literary and Art Critics Association (BLACA). He also serves as the Secretary General of the Committee of the China Office of the Ibero-American Audiovisual Industry Association (AICIC). Yang Bin holds a Ph.D. in Art Studies from the Communication University of China and has extensive experience working in Latin America. He is deeply committed to the cross-cultural communication of media arts and the research of Latin American film and television culture. He has published over twenty papers and reviews in various academic journals and has been involved in numerous research projects.

李伟华
Li Weihua holds a PhD in literature from Beijing Normal University and was a visiting PhD student at SOAS, University of London. She once carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford and Beijing Foreign Studies University. Currently, she serves as a lecturer at the International Institute of Chinese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University.
She has presided over the Youth Project of the National Social Science Fund and was funded by the Postdoctoral International Exchange Program Dispatch Project of the National Postdoctoral Administrative Committee. She has successively participated in the research work of two major projects of the National Social Science Fund. She has published multiple papers in source journals indexed by A&HCI, CSSCI, etc.

Tian Weiwei, Ph.D. in History, specializes in Ancient Chinese History, Dunhuuan Studies, East Asian Paleography, and the History of Ancient Sino-Japanese Cultural Exchange. She has published over 50 academic papers and translations in domestic and international scholarly journals. She has led four ministerial-level or higher research projects, including grants from the National Social Science Fund of China, and participated in six major provincial/ministerial-level research initiatives such as key projects under the National Social Science Fund of China and major research programs of China's Ministry of Education.
