Beijing Foreign Studies University

Beijing Foreign Studies University, or BFSU, located on North Xisanhuan Road in Haidian district, Beijing, is one of China’s leading universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education (MOE). It is listed under Project 211, Project 985’s Innovation Platform and the first round of the Double First-Class Project of China.

Today, BFSU teaches 101 foreign languages. It houses China's largest non-general language teaching cluster that offers courses in some less commonly taught European, Asian and African languages, as the first of the MOE's special teaching programs. While best known for its excellence in foreign languages and literature, BFSU has also launched programs in fields such as humanities, law, economics, management and education.

北京外国语大学（简称"北外"）坐落于北京市海淀区西三环北路，是教育部直属、国家首批"211工程"建设高校，入选"985工程优势学科创新平台"和首批国家"双一流"建设高校。作为中国顶尖外语学府，北外以"外、特、精、通"为办学理念，被誉为"共和国外交官摇篮"。

At present, BFSU continues to pursue development through strengthening talent training, promoting academic excellence and building a global presence, aiming to establish itself as an international, distinctive, high-level and comprehensive world-class foreign language university.
